Check any media link before you save it
Paste a link. MediaFlow tells you which platform it comes from, whether it is video or audio, and what can legally be done with it.
Recognizes YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, X / Twitter, Dailymotion, SoundCloud, Spotify, Twitch, Reddit, Pinterest, LinkedIn and direct MP4, WEBM, MOV, M4V, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC and OGG links.
How it works
- Paste a URL. Only links are accepted. MediaFlow never asks for a file upload.
- We check the link. For platforms we use their public oEmbed metadata. For direct files we read the response headers of the file.
- You see real results. Platform, type, title and thumbnail when available. A download button appears only for direct files whose server allows it.
What MediaFlow does and does not do
Does
- Identifies the platform of a link
- Detects video and audio direct files
- Shows public metadata from official oEmbed endpoints
- Previews direct files in your browser when the server allows it
Does not
- Download from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X or other platforms
- Bypass DRM, logins, private content or paywalls
- Store your links or the media you check
- Accept file uploads
Frequently asked questions
Can I download YouTube or TikTok videos here?
No. Those platforms do not offer an authorized download API for third parties. MediaFlow shows public information about the link and points you to the platform's own features.
When does the download button appear?
Only for direct audio or video files (MP4, WEBM, MOV, M4V, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG) that the source server delivers publicly. The file is downloaded directly from its original server.
Why does a preview not play?
The source may block embedding from other websites, use an unsupported codec, or serve the file over plain http. The link can still be valid.
Why does Instagram or Facebook show no details?
Their metadata requires an official access token from Meta. If the site owner has not configured one, MediaFlow says so instead of guessing.
Do you store my links?
No. Links are processed to produce the result and are not saved by MediaFlow. See the Privacy Policy.
Is it legal to download a file?
That depends on the content and your country. Only download files you own, that are in the public domain, or that the owner has licensed for you. See the Terms of Use.
